Cresta Lodge Gaborone Relaunches it's Terrace Café
Cresta Hotels recently relaunched the indigenous and luxurious Terrace Café located at the Cresta Lodge in Gaborone. As part of the launch, Cresta also relaunched the Bona Botswana Jwa Rona campaign, aimed at encouraging local and international travellers to use, eat, visit, travel and enjoy Botswana offerings, products and services. As the hotel chain with the largest footprint in the country, Cresta Hotels is synonymous with Botswana and all the beauty it has to offer, and saw it fit to use this national platform to profile local producers and artisans.
“The Café is fully operational for everyone to come and experience Cresta Hotels. We are looking forward to having people come and enjoy the Café, whether it’s scheduling meetings with clients or friends, corporate catering and take-aways, or sessions for societies and recreational clubs to book the facility for use. The Café has been intermittently operational since the advent of COVID-19, and we have now unveiled our revamped menu and sitting area for our patrons,” said the Head of Marketing and Communications, Lorato Tebogo.
As part of the Café relaunch and the Bona Botswana Jwa Rona campaign, the Terraces Café has strategically partnered with several local suppliers to provide amenities, condiments and refreshments, such as Maungo Crafts, Beauty Spark and White Label Fragrances to mention a few, who will be supplying their products and services at Cresta Lodge. “As part of the drive to promote Botswana and local produce we have partnered with several entrepreneurs who will be providing indigenous products to our Café. As an industry leader it is our responsibility to support our local SMMEs as a way of contributing to the economy and giving back to the society,” added the Head of Sales, Boitumelo Khama.
The Terrace Café’s menu comes with pastries and baked goods such as doughnuts, croissants, breakfast sandwiches, danishes, pretzels and strudels. It also has beverages such as fresh mint tea, coffee, hot lemon, green tea, hot chocolate and cappuccino. The Café sources beverage and bakery ingredients from local suppliers which gives the food a Tswana touch and experience to the patrons.
The Café relaunch was well attended by members of the corporate community, as well as local socialites and celebrities such as Marang Selolwane, Kagiso Sento and reigning Miss Botswana Lesego Chombo, who all commented that they were impressed by the food, beverages and ambience at the refreshed Terrace Café. True to form, Cresta Hotels prides itself in offering authentic African Hotel expriences to its patrons, with the brand consistently delivering a unique touch of African luxury and bespoke service to its clientele.
