    Cresta Hotels Launches “See Botswana Differently”

    Cresta Marakanelo Limited (CML) this past week launched its new global brand campaign coined ‘See Botswana Differently with Cresta Hotels’, aimed at attracting the international, regional and local markets to their chain of hotels across Botswana. The unique platform aims to differentiate Cresta Hotels globally and in the region and to position the hotel chain to tourists as a gateway to Botswana.

    Launching the campaign this past week to the Cresta Hotels stakeholders at the annual MD’s Roadshow in Johannesburg and Cape Town, the Managing Director of CML Mokwena Morulane noted that Cresta Hotels is in a unique position as the hotel chain with the largest geographical footprint in Botswana, that currently spans across 6 of the 10 districts in Botswana.

    “As Botswana continues to position herself not only as one of the world’s leading leisure destinations but also as a dominant MICE destination, we recognize the stiff competition with other global destinations, hotel chains and hospitality offerings, and thus the need to set ourselves apart as a leading hospitality provider. As the hotel group with the largest geographical footprint in the country and the highest number of rooms at around 1000 rooms, we are well positioned to offer our guests a unique perspective on what our hotels have to offer across the country, be it a group health retreat, a safari destination wedding package, or an incentive tour with cultural immersion activities,” Morulane asserted.

    The ‘See Botswana Differently’ global campaign is aligned to Cresta Marakanelo Limited’s 2024-2028 Corporate Strategy and follows on the retiring ‘Bona Botswana Jwa Rona’ brand campaign that ran from 2021 during the Covid period, until the present. The new campaign aims to invite an even broader global audience to experience the various dimensions to Botswana, whether as a business or leisure traveller, through the Cresta Hotels lens.

    The campaign also aims to catalyze domestic tourism by developing packages that encourage Batswana to explore their backyard and discover the hidden gems of their land, and thus to ‘See Botswana Differently.’

    The MD’s Roadshow is an annual fixture in the CML calendar, in which the CML Managing Director travels to Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa, to engage with the Group’s top-performing clients and other key business audiences, to update them on developments across the Group and explore further areas of collaboration for the Company.
