The Vic Falls Carnival is an annual festival that takes place in the adrenaline capital of Southern Africa, Victoria Falls over the New Year. The carnival takes place a stone’s throw from the ‘Smoke that Thunders’ and features some of Africa’s biggest musicians. Black Coffee – one of South Africa’s biggest artists – headlines the warm up to New Year’s Eve on 30th December. The 30th Community Party is a night of live house, African, indie and electro-pop and usually ends at a local party venue in town.

The Unity Concert on New Year’s Eve, brings everyone together for the countdown to 2018. Carnival-goers are encouraged to bring flags and paint their faces in the colours of their home country. The musical entertainment this year includes Tresor, The Kiffness, Mampi and local Vic Falls Flying Bantu.
